Every dress tells a story. Ours begins thousands of miles away.

Sadiq Ola-Dauda grew up between two worlds the rich textile traditions of Nigeria and the ambition of America. As a teenager in Ogun State, Nigeria, he began an apprenticeship that would quietly shape everything that followed: learning to see fabric not as material, but as possibility. Learning to understand the body not as a challenge, but as something to celebrate.

Back in the United States, Sadiq pursued the path many expected of him a career in STEM, a steady 9-to-5. But the pull of fashion never left. He went on to train at Baltimore City Community College, deepening his technical mastery of garment construction: the architecture of a boned corset, the patience of hand-stitching, the precision of a custom measurement. Eventually, he made the leap that every entrepreneur knows he left the security of a customer service career to build something entirely his own.

Ashford by Sadiq was born from that courage.

• Boned corset construction for structure, support, and a flawless silhouette
• Hand-stitched details that reflect the care and craftsmanship behind every piece
• A 4–6 week creation timeline to ensure nothing is rushed
